From the President:
Because we have a second activity already scheduled for this moth, Dana Point Beach clean up, we will not have a second meeting. Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 3rd at 12:30 p.m. in room TA-1L. I realize we are all very busy but please make this meeting a priority as we will have important information to discuss.

Dana Point Beach Clean-Up 2010
From The President:
Hi everyone,The beach clean up day is scheduled to leave by 7:15 a.m. out of the Social Sciences Parking lot. We will be back by 3:30 p.m. at the latest depending on group concensus. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Marcus, Liz (909) 319-4681, or myself.
Note: Beach Clean-Up is scheduled for April 17th.

-Last day to raise funds for PTK.
-Gifts and raffles need to be in possession prior to MAY 3, 2010
-Proposed by Sullivan Lewis (Vice President of Fellowship) that good could be provided by Chaffey Bookstore.
-Proposed by Alyssa Castaneda (Secretary of Public Relations) that PTK could also go to businesses near the Chino campus since there are Chaffey students that attend both campuses and live in Chino.
-Proposed by Marcus Kibler (Vice President of Leadership) to seek out local businesses for donations.
-Proposed by Nick Lowry (Treasurer) that is may be possible to get gift-cards from businesses in area.
-Proposed by Gus Alcaraz that he may be able to acquire some donations to raffle away from business associates.
-Possible tax break??? Must be verified
-Possibility that on Bank Night, may have T.V. monitor provided by Blake Humphrey (Secretary of Recording).

By-Laws (Status: Drafted)
-Currently under analysis for any inconsistencies and flaws prior to implementation by chapter.
-Drafted by Marilynn Madrigal (President) with aid from other PTK chapters in region.
-Issue: GPA has been proposed to be at 3.0. In simplified terms; to get into PTK there is a need to have a GPA of 3.5. To stay in PTK it has been written in the new draft of the By-Laws that there needs to be a GPA of 3.0 to be maintained during the semester. This is currently being researched verified by PTK officers.
-Still open to be amended if inconsistencies found.

-Transportation is currently in question. Forms have been submitted to for the acquisition of Chaffey College Vans but due to the fact that the number of those that wish to attend is question, Phi Theta Kappa members may wish to attend via personal transportation.

- Proposed by Marcus Kibler that this project may be extended to other clubs and organizations on campus to foster inter-connectivity between PTK and campus clubs. If so, Alyssa Castaneda (Secretary of Public Relations) may act as liaison to clubs. More information to follow.
